Two Films. Two Panda Awards Nominations.

We’re proud to announce that we got two Panda Awards Nominations 2025, also known as the Green Oscars” of the wildlife film industry!

These nominations reflect more than cinematic excellence. They highlight storytelling that’s committed to conservation, impact, and sustainable filmmaking. Here’s a look at the two nominated titles:

Katavi: Africa’s Fallen Paradise

Nominated for the Behavior Award

A remote park. A 90-year climate cycle. Three apex predators forced to adapt or lose it all.

Katavi captures the untold drama of Tanzania’s most secluded national park, where lions, hippos, and crocodiles clash for survival under extreme environmental stress. As drought gives way to flooding, ancient rivalries and new behaviors emerge. This is a portrait of adaptation, resilience, and the raw edge of nature’s balancing act.

A lion cub peeks out from behind the roots of a large tree, surrounded by dry grass and foliage in a natural outdoor setting, much like a scene worthy of Panda Awards nominations in wildlife films.

Pangolin – Journey for Freedom

Nominated for the Sustainability Award

Meet Kosha, a rescued Temminck’s ground pangolin with a story worth telling. And filming it? That took a whole different kind of commitment.

A group of people, including uniformed men and a woman with short white hair and sunglasses, gently handle a pangolin near a wooden crate in an outdoor, forested setting—reminiscent of scenes featured in Panda Awards-nominated films.

Our sustainability manager Josepha called it “30 pages of sustainability wisdom” and she wasn’t kidding. From solar-powered accommodations to plastic-free catering kits, we made every part of this production walk the green talk.

Here’s just a taste of how we did it:

  • Permanent crockery, reusable containers . No single-use plastics
  • Energy-saving lights & rechargeable gear
  • Drones over helicopters = fewer emissions, same stunning shots
  • Locally sourced, seasonal food from community vendors
  • Solar power off the grid
  • Every piece of waste sorted, recycled, and carried out

It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. Pangolin is a story about the world’s most trafficked mammal, and we made sure our impact behind the scenes matched the message on screen.
