Synopsis

Across land and sea, get to know the characters behind the fur, feathers and fins. Follow them as they grow up, find a mate or set out on a journey, and discover the habits and relationships that shape their lives.

From big cats and bears to primates, hippos and whales, see familiar animals through their encounters and changing fortunes. A feared predator may be a devoted parent; a supposed villain can become the protagonist. There is humour in the failed attempts, playful exchanges and small frustrations along the way.

Twenty tales bring a personal perspective to the workings of the wild.
