A Tasmanian devil sits on grass with its mouth wide open, showing sharp teeth. Its black fur and white chest stripe stand out amid green vegetation, capturing the wild spirit of Australia's Lost Eden.

Synopsis

Tasmania’s Southwest Wilderness is a vast, remote and untouched region at the edge of the world, where human footprints are still the exception. Cut off by snow-capped mountains, trees tower to three hundred feet, green lights dance in the sky, and caves glow dazzling blue. Fur seals and shy albatross breed along the storm-battered coast, a reminder that Antarctica is the next stop south. Thought to be the thylacine’s last stronghold, tiger quolls and Tasmanian devils now compete for the top spot.
