Fritz Returns to ServusTV in a new International Production

Building on the success of the 2025 ServusTV Heimat production Fritz, Was gibt’s? from Terra Mater Studios, this new two-part special follows team chef Fritz Grampelhuber as he takes his culinary curiosity far beyond Austria. Together with his brother Tamino, he travels along the Californian coast in search of ideas for the Austrian national team’s World Cup cuisine. The result is a production that expands the original format into an international food adventure—blending storytelling, culture, and craft with Terra Mater Studios’ signature visual approach.

From Los Angeles to Santa Barbara and Rancho San Julian, the episode captures the full spectrum of Californian food culture—and the stories behind it. Street food icons, deeply rooted Mexican kitchens, and modern taco culture meet the raw realities of sea urchin diving and the quiet discipline of ranch life. Through these contrasts, the production traces a clear narrative: from fast and urban to slow and elemental, from inspiration to creation. Along the way, Fritz begins translating what he experiences into World Cup-ready ideas—from a bold taco–crêpe hybrid to smoked fish crêpes—while the camera stays close to the people, places, and processes that shape each dish.

This first chapter sets the stage for a larger arc—one that connects continents, cuisines, and creative processes. It’s not just about what ends up on the plate, but how ideas travel, evolve, and return transformed.

Part 2 continues the journey to San Francisco and beyond—streaming on ServusTV On from June 5 and airing on ServusTV on June 12 at 20:15. But as with “Fritz, Was gibt’s?”, the story doesn’t end with the broadcast.
