“Katavi – Africa’s Fallen Paradise” Nominated for the 2025 KURIER ROMY Award

We are thrilled to announce that our documentary “Katavi – Africa’s Fallen Paradise” has been nominated for Best TV Documentary at the 35th edition of the prestigious 2025 KURIER ROMY Awards.

The ROMY is one of the most important film and television honors in the German-speaking world. This year, the awards take on a new dimension: a full week of film and television celebrations in Kitzbühel, culminating in the glamorous awards gala at Kaps Castle on November 28, 2025.

In the Katavi wilderness, two hippos with their mouths open wide face each other in a river, appearing to engage in a territorial display. Their large teeth and powerful jaws are visible, while water ripples around them.

“Katavi – Africa’s Fallen Paradise” – Fighting Hippos

The Katavi team is honored to stand alongside outstanding productions. Set in one of Africa’s last great wildernesses, “Katavi” brings audiences deep into a landscape of hippos, crocodiles, and elephants, capturing the raw power and delicate balance of life in Tanzania’s remote national park. The nomination celebrates not only the film but also the vital importance of preserving wild spaces for future generations.
