Prizes galore / Festival News and Reviews

2014
After a most successful year 2013, 2014 was kicked off by the Science Film Festival (Theme 2013: Energy and Sustainability) taking place in Southeast Asia, North Africa and the Middle East. It awarded the Visual Effects Award to the Terra Mater production ’You, Planet’ and the Science Life Award to the first episode of the three-part programme ’Genius of Nature’.

REVIEW: AN EXCELLENT YEAR
In 2013, the productions and co-productions of Terra Mater Factual Studios were making a clean sweep at international festivals: three of its programmes were nominated at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, held in the American Midwest. ’Richard Hammond’s Miracles of Nature’ beat stiff competition in the category of ‚Best Presenter-led Programme’.
Two of TMFS co-productions were up for an Emmy® Award (’Hunt for the Russian Tiger’ and ’An Original DUCKumentary’), with the latter winning the trophy.
And finally, the Cine Golden Eagle Awards (USA) presented themselves as an early Christmas present in late 2013 – or rather: as nearly a dozen. A complete list of winners and prizes can be found below.

TMFS feel highly honoured by these awards and certificates and wish all the festivals a successful upcoming year.
